Fred will be busy from now on concentrating on writing commitments. Under a new two-book contract with Bloomsbury Publishing/Bloomsbury USA he is due to complete a dramatic account of the German hyperinflation of 1923, THE DOWNFALL OF MONEY. He has also been commissioned to write a new, definitive book on the German bombing of Coventry in November 1940.
"Frederick Taylor is one of the brightest historians writing today." -- Newsweek
"Taylor has great narrative gifts, as he showed in his books on the bombing of Dresden and the history of the Berlin Wall. Here his account of the last days of the war is brilliantly told … this is an enthralling narrative about a crucial period of modern Europe's history" -- The Observer
“A deeply compelling study of the peace enforced on Germany by the Allied victors at the close of World War II … Hard-hitting yet evenhanded, Taylor’s work holds tremendous relevance for our time.” – Kirkus Reviews (starred)

Back from Hay. 450 seats sold and the talk/reading with the wonderful Rosie Goldsmith went well. Nice long queue for the book signing afterwards (cheers!) but the book tent ran out of copies of EXORCISING HITLER (boos!). Great to meet people. Everyone was very friendly and we had some great discussions. Looking forward to next time.
Here is me reading an excerpt from EXORCISING HITLER. Rosie to my right, her famous red bag next to her, and also a big scary screen projection behind me. I didn't even know it was there until the whole thing was over.
